The Institute For Community (IFC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization dedicated to building quality relationships where people
live and work through the power of genuine community. Utilizing four
portals of entry into community: Friendship, Membership,
Partnership, Ownership, the lFC develops grass root relationships as
well as strategic corporate partnerships creating value in the
neighborhoods served.
Funds from the outing are instrumental to the operation of our
Family Resource Centre at the Friendship Centre at HighPoint. The
Resource Centre programs have served hundreds of families
throughout Will, Cook, and DuPage Counties in the areas of before
and after school care, academic enrichment, preschool, and adult
support groups for the past five years. A special scholarship program
operates annually to ensure participation by all families regardless of
financial challenge. We annually provide more than $60,000 in
financial assistance to families in need. Additionally, a portion of the
funds have also been instrumental in developing Casa De Luz (House
of Light), a Family Resource Centre located in Tegucigalpa,
Honduras serving families in one of its poorest barrios. We hope to
assist Casa De Luz in building a facility that can increase its
capacity from 18 to 100 children this year.
The Marquette Companies are committed to redefining the quality of
life through real estate development and management services.
Calling on several of their core values, such as Relationships,
Making A Difference, and Fun, Marquette has embarked on a
national venture of philanthropic programs to make a significant
contribution toward quality of life issues in the communities they serve.
